Fairytale Visual Development Project
For a while I’ve been struggling with my art. Rarely feeling motivated to draw and when I do I’m not happy with the outcome. Recently I’ve found myself looking at portfolios for new hires at my job and it got me thinking. My portfolio is outdated and pretty much nonexistent.
So in an effort to spice up my illustration skills and build a portfolio I decided to try something new. I’m doing the Visual Development for a Faux Mobile game.
For this project I’ll be focusing on Character Designs. Environment exploration. Game UI development and so much more. And if all goes well, maybe I’ll even work on creating a working prototype.
The actual details for the project are, for the most part, undecided. But their are a few things I have in mind. First off the game is going to be a Fairy Tale adventure game with a focus on story.
I want to start it off with three different FairyTales that you’d be collecting the stories for. Little Red Riding Hood, and perhaps Alice and wonderland and Maybe the Wizard of OZ. Somehow the stories would connect in different ways through-out this mobile game story.
Currently the game details are still very much under-construction! lol. But I’ve already started designing the Little Red character for the Little Red Riding Hood part of the game.
I’m having a lot of fun working on this project and look forward to practicing new things. Backgrounds, animals, UI design, animation, and so much more. I also plan on doing videos of my process work over on my YouTube channel. You can check out the first video below.

Until Next time!
