Favorite Copic Colors And Where to Get them

I get asked a LOT about my favorite Copic colors and where I get them. So I figured it was about time that I created a post letting you know. Currently these are the colors I use the most. I love the way they look, and I keep  them close to me so I have easy access to them.

As you can see in the image bellow, these colors show up in a LOT of my work. By using them in different combinations I am able to create completely different images. But, since they are all using the same color palettes, they work nicely together. This is an easy way to create a cohesive style focusing on color. Of course a lot more goes into your style, but currently we are talking about colors.

What are Copic Markers?:

You might be wondering what are Copic Markers. And that’s fair. Copic is a Japanese brand name for non-toxic alcohol based coloring markers. One of the key features of Copic markers are the refills you can purchase. Which is also, in my opinion, one of the biggest things that makes them worth the price.

In addition to re-filling a pen several times, you can also mix the refills to create new colors. I have not done this personally, but I am aware that they sell empty markers just for this purpose. You can also customize the pens by purchasing replaceable nibs in different styles. And you can use your pens with the Copic Air compressor so you can Airbrush with them. (adaptor needed)

Their are several different “types” of Copic markers that you can get. I only use the Copic Sketch markers but I know that the ‘Ciao’ markers are smaller and usually a more affordable versions of the ‘Sketch’ markers. Unfortunately, the ciao makers are not available in all of the colors that the sketch are. But, you can use your re-fill inks on either types of Copic Markers.

Copic Colors and Where to Get them:

Here is the list of my favorite Copic colors and links to where you can get them online. You can also find them in some local art stores and I’ve seen some sold in Japan town. I ordered most of mine in bulk online many years ago (not sure where). But I do purchase individuals and Re-fill inks online via Amazon.

Be aware that the colors shown bellow may vary based off of your monitor, or the type of paper that you use. Links from Amazon, prices vary by color and type. Here are my favorite colors:

Skin Colors:

Pinks & Reds:

Blues:

Purples:

Other Colors:

And that’s it for now! This should help those of you looking to get new markers who like my color palettes. I do use other colors from time to time, but these are my most used colors currently. If you have any questions please leave them in the comment section bellow.

Until Next time,
